Mind Games with Strong Men

At Strongman Camp last Saturday morning we were fortunate to have one of Australia’s leading Mental Skills coaches address the athletes after the session.

It never ceases to amaze me that almost every athlete is well aware of the importance of their physical preparation and training, yet so few do anything to improve their psychological skills.

It’s simple you are what you think about and you are what you tell yourself.

So it better be positive and empowering!

‘Weak minds lead to weak actions. A strong disciplined mind, which you develop through daily practice, can achieve miracles.

If you want to live life to the fullest, care for your thoughts as you would your most prized possessions.

Work hard to remove all inner turbulence. The rewards will be abundant.

Part Of what we do in The Pit and at Strongman Training Camp is physical, but it’s mostly mental…it requires mental fortitude and intestinal commitment to complete our gruelling pit sessions week after week, year after year.

But the reward of a powerful body and equally strong mind…are unfathomable.

Today take a mental note of what you tell yourself and what goes through your head, you’d be surprised at what goes on in there.

All the best for the week,
