One of our USP Athlete expectations is a commitment to excellence not only in the sporting arena but also academic pursuits. With the QCS tests starting this week, here’s a few simple techniques we’ve successfully used with some of our elite executive clientele to enhance brain function, cognition, memory and retention.

Meat and Nuts Breakfast

A Glass of lemon water (Lemons are high in potassium and negatively charged ions which increase the flow of oxygen to the brain; resulting in higher alertness, decreased drowsiness, and more mental energy. I credit Pierce J. Howard for letting me know about the amazing benefits of lemon water!

The first thing you put in your mouth dictates your neurotransmitters for the rest of the day…Why is that important? Certain foods will cause you to feel sluggish..groggy and brain fog; not ideal if you are wanting to perform well in exams…

I eat some variation of this almost everyday to ensure I feel focused, clear headed, productive, energetic and switched on…
